How does the BMW counting system work?

I reckon the fault light comes on with the following conditions:

1) is the car out of warranty
2) does the driver have any disposable income

Either are enough to trip the indicator
Ah! That explains why I have to key in my bank # every time I reconnect the battery!

Must admit i like the Hyundai coupes :)

Yeah they still look pretty smart don't they. The drive is not really comparable to the looks though, they're nice and refined but not very involving to drive. Nothing like a Z4. Maybe the two face lifted models they did since the one I had improved things, not sure.

I looked into getting another V6 a year or two back as a cheap motor, but was put off by stories of engine issues. Quite a few have failed. Surprising considering they put out so little power.

I've had one for four years, one of my favourites.

I remember I had issues with the camshaft position sensor - the warning light flashed only for a second, sometimes too short for me to notice, but nonetheless all the faults were duly logged.

PS
The car, GK, GK F/L and F/L2 was basically the same. Sluggish and prone to understeering, worlds apart from the Zed.

The V6 had no issues, apart from camshaft bearings failing under heavy-footed boy racers.
