How does ESP need to behave?

Hi Z drivers,

Since this weekend we own a Z4 Roadster.
Today it was wet on the road and something strange happened.
Suddenly a light flashed on the dash. Is was the orange ligth with the triangle in it.
So I think the ESP kicked in and power went down. The gas pedal didn't respond anymore.
Only after fully release the gas pedal en pressing it again, the power came back like normal and the light went out.

Is this normal behaviour or is there something wrong which need to be checked?

FYI my girlfriend was driving the Z4 to work, so I was not in the car myself.

If your GF was on WOT then the car will cut the power until the wheels stop spinning and it thinks safe driving can resume.
