I did that with my landcruiser, turned the key with it in gear to move it forward a couple of feet so I could drop the tailgate onto a loading dock....chased it across the parking lot, caught it just before it hit the fence. cj10jeeper said:Further to my previous post:

I've never started a car with the clutch depressed unless I've left it in gear due to a hill.
