How do you remove these? Seatbelt guides

Hi, can anybody tell me how to remove these?

I’ve bought a pair of seats that are getting refurbed with Bentley red leather this week and want to swap these seatbelt guides onto the other ones as I want to keep the chrome guides... anyone know how they come off??

iirc, remove the head restraint then you will be able to access a screw on the 'back' of the guide.

Unfortunately there is also a screw at bottom which can only be removed with leather cover off set, complete strip

Are you drunk? The chrome parts are held in with a torx screw.

Oh right, apologies. Mine didn't have the part at the bottom. Must have been broken previously and bodged back up :lol:

Might be able to access it with seat back off.

All done. And what a bastard of a job.

The top screw comes out no problem, but to access the bottom 2 bolts, you’ll need to either rip the leather or peel back the leather and dismantle the seat completely. The bolts/ screws go in from behind the guide, no chance of getting them undone without butchering to some degree. Why BMW sell new ones on their own, god only knows. :thumbsdown:

I ripped the seast as I’ve a set of heated ones to go in and getting recovered in lovely new leather, so will ask the guy to install my original ones as the ones on right now are black.
