How do you clean your wheels?

I use a wash mit so I don't cut my hands to shreds...

I tend to just use the leftover shampoo mix from washing the car, but every 3 or 4 times I will use autoglym wheel cleaner or meguiars wonder wheels.

Hmm - good thinking about the mit as I always use a 50% mixture of blood and leftover shampoo mix when washing the wheels.

I had my wheels treated by protech - so no need for any more protection and I just need the warm, soapy water to get them all clean again.

Only annoying place is where the brakes are as you can not get between that and the wheels ...

PH neutral dishwasher soap diluted in hot water, spray all over wheels. Use a wheel brush to gently disengage dirt with ample lubrication from dilution.

Rinse with water, wet a non-disintegrating tissue with same solution & gently remove leftovers & corners the brush did not take, rinse again.

Cheap, expendale, works as a charm and never had any problems with the solution removing car wax as some state. But I do take care to minimize mist hitting the car body.

EDIT: Should mention it leaves the rims as good as new!

Crap....I better not mention that I remove my wheels once per month to clean inner/outer and change the air in the tires as well. <gulp>

I did once have someone believing me that you have to change the air in your tyres once a year...honest

I only do that every other month and I also check the headlight fluid...

And of course make sure there's enough charge in the flux capacitor!

Left over car wash soap, walmart brush or sponge. Stuff comes off very easily without any hassle. I've Z2'd my front wheels but ahve done nothing to the rears; nonetheless, the wheel dust comes off very easily in both cases. Guess I'm lucky. Of course, on my 325 where I have Axxis pads, one can almost blow the dust off as there is hardly any dust...even after weeks of not washing.

As for the area that the brakes limit access to, I try toi get some soapy water into the area and use my finger and the dust come right off.

don't know which of you all is worse then the other....change the air in the tire....what i want to know if how often you do something useful like vacuum the house.

I use Meguiars hot rims (purple bottle) which rips that brake dust right off then I use a wheel brush (thin brush on a wire handle) and a sponge to clean.

Don't forget to dress the tires.

My MAID comes through every other week to clean the house and do the laundry.

I just started taking the wheels off and giving them a thorough soap and water with sponge bath. It takes a few extra minutes but is so much easier than cleaning them while on the car, and it's a lot of fun to jack the car up and spin the wheels off. Also discovered some other nooks and crannies around the breaks and rotors and in the wheel well don't get much attention.

I've also discovered that I don't enjoy cleaning the interior, so I will start taking it to a place to have that done when required.

My man....

I use Blackfire, that stuff rocks! A few sprays and the dust just rinses right off. I HATE dirty wheels so maybe that I stay on top of it, helps the ease of cleaning.
