Leeds - you know where it is
The Mrs is away on hols for a bit so I got busy with the car cleaning. Top to bottom clean, including taking the wheels off and the full polishing and protecting action.

Still feeling my way with this so I took my first wheel off on Friday, then did the other three on Saturday. I've got some Dragon's breath now, so used that, then rinsed and cleaned with my usual Chemical Guys cleaner, then clayed and polished the wheel and covered in CG Wheel Guard and dressed the tyres. Couple of shots:

Sunday, I did the interior, vacumm and wipe down whilst also cleaning the leather with Gliptone and the feeding the leather afterwards. The "after" shots look like this:

Whilst I was doing that I also gave the engine bay a bit of attention.

Then I washed the car with fairy to strip everything back - a gentle wash but it needed it so I could do the polishing and swirl removal. Out came the gazebo again on Sunday eve.

So most of the hard work was Monday - polishing using Megs 105 and 205 to remove the pretty bad swirling that'd crept onto the car. Before:

Obviously the car was taped up and, as I don't have the most room at the rear of my house, it all take a lot of time to do, as you will all know already. So I suppose you get your reward once it's all done - but it doesn't half take ages! You think you're done and then you realise that you need to get the dust from the polish out of all of the cracks etc! Finally, however, the job was truly completed and here is an after shot:

Then overnight the weather did its magic so I've got a beading shot:

Fantastic work!

Looks great!! Love the red leather and the piano black.

Speaking of which, what do you clean your piano black with? I've tried various things with varying degrees of success but it's looking a little lack lustre and swirled today...

I use AG vinyl & rubber cleaner - the yellow citrus spray, seem to work but the key is not to knock it with your watch etc!

Yeah, I'm hoping the service washes every other week with a soft shampoo will do the job. I have a shampoo that states it will not take wax off but we'll see. Anyway, no more polishing until winter now!

Thanks Stevo, I think I have every other AG product bar that one.. Will pick some up tonight.

so here's my gallery/calendar entry - non-qualifying because its not *LANDSCAPE* grrrr, well, whatever, not wasting the 15 mins I spent on that...

It's the best part of the car - the kink in the rear window - how do you get that plus the fresh, polished, protected, gorgeous wheel in the photo in landscape?
