How do the hid bulbs fit in holder?

Got the Hid H7 kit from hids direct but seem at a loss as to how the bulb is secured in to the light. The original halogen had the metal and black plastic clip arrangement that was turned to release. Anyone any ideas or do I need another clip of some sort. Got to give hid direct a call about it but wondered if I was just being a bit dumb :?
 
I fitted a hids direct kit to my zed this weekend. It was a straight swap. Pulled the original out, forced the cabling through the existing silver clip and attatched it back on the rear of headlight. Worked a treat.
 
i found it a very strange set-up. with my kit, i had 2 wires (black and yellow) which has silver prongs on the end, which went into the bulb holder. took me a while to figure it all out :lol:

I've got the original silver clips, so how did you force the wires through it or did you split it?
 
I tried to fit my HiDS the other day. Wired them all in but they didn't work. On looking at others picture in not sure if everything was right. (I went red-red & black-brown) but the pics I've seen had red-brown & black-red) so going to re try later on when I have a spare afternoon.
 
Pulled the wires from the new kit out of the black rubber grommet they come in and then pushed them through the silver clip. Finally pushed then back through the grommet to keep things tidy.
