How do I track down private plate?

Anyone know how to go about doing this? I was playing around on dvla. Then it occurred to me to check MOT.
There is a plate that I really really want and I can see it was on an old Vauxhall that has been off the road since 2010?!

Any ideas on what to do. Or if you know its just not possible, would be greatly appreciated

I suppose if you can see what type of car it is then as a long shot find the relevant owners' club and ask if anyone knows who it belongs to.
