how do i sort this?

as the pic shows, the gaiter has come away from the handbrake, i was thinking of using contact advesive to stick it back but wanted to see if there was another way?

You need to remove the handbrake and leather cover, turn the cover inside out and then attach the tie so when pulled back the right way you can't see it.

+1 on cable tie. When I removed the gaiter for a good clean, renewed the cable tie at the same time.

IIRC, the "armrest" is pried upwards, then forward from the rear.

Be sure the tie's lock block is on the bottom or it could cause an unusual wear pattern.
