Help! I own a 2011 Z4(E89) and want to retro a PDC. I can only find a PDC Retro Kit for the E85 model. Can anyone direct me to where I can get a PDC Retro Kit for my Z4 E89?

Best hire a very short person to keep in the boot and get them in and out of the car when you're parking!

Real OEM Show a retrofit kit, but its not available apparently, probs not "that" hard to fit if you found a writen off car and got all the bits out but you would need coding for idrive display and to make it work etc

What about the ultrasonic kits u can get ? They stick onto the inside of your bumper

Worth a look, I personally think the z is simple to park

i got used to it on my e46 and e91. The e89 is different, in so much that the pcd lets me park closer to the wall at the back than i would normally do. one sits so far back in the e89, almost over the back wheels, so it amazez me how far back i need to go in a space so my bonnet doesnt stick out.

Paza did this on his E86 Sport. He put a guide up on here somewhere.

Baldeagel, welcome to the forum...
Like G14RRV mentioned I find the Zed's pretty easy to park.
An after market kit is likely your best bet. However, they are quite expensive.

yep i fitted one of the ultrasonic ones about 35£ from gropeon read paza little fitting diag and it went in a treat and works pretty good for the money

I suppose you could always whack those cheap plate ones on the front too, but you'd need to wire in some way of turning it on/off to prevent it beeping while you're in traffic etc. I'm certainly not going to spend £1000 adding it to mine when I can just use my eyes lol I have other intentions for that £1000, like making it go even faster!

How is it any different to cars that have front sensors out of the factory?

On our X3, the sensors turned on when you put the car in Reverse. They turned back off if you moved forward at more than about 5mph.
Otherwise they'd be constantly beeping in traffic.

There was also an 'off' switch on the console. Had to use that once in a while.

Rear PDC was useful on the X3. Front came with the package, but they were never anything other than occasionally annoying.
