How do I remove this part? Entrance strip

Hi.

I want my car to be absolutely perfect for next year and I want to replace this part. It has some scuff marks from my shoes and sneakers that wont go away.

I have tried to pull it but I am afraid to break something doing is.

Is there an easy way doing this?

Hi,
my guess is that it will just pull up....held in with clips.

I would get a thin piece of wood or plastic and slide it under the trim and then lever it up.

If you have the new one you have nothing to lose If it breaks !

Yes you just pull it off. There are 5 clips on the other side holding it on which slide off and are easily replaceable if you break one.
 
Just replaced both of these in my car.
It is just pull up but on each end it has this small lip that goes over the adjacent trim, it is very small. It can be lifted with your fingers. Then you just pull it up.
Little change of damaging the clips as they are pretty thick.

The last link was wrong though, i dont need to replace the m-badge cover but the hard plastic strip behind it.

I removed both the black strip and the m-badge strip today and will replace both
Because they have small scratches and i am very picky :)

Now it will even look Nice when you Open the door and enter the car :)

I was surprised that there were so much dirt under the m-badge strip .
