How do i know if i have extended bluetooth

Hi all,

Just got my iphone 5, so got all excited to see that people are now getting messages and emails displayed on their idrive under office.

so been trying to get it tonight and i cant get it to display anything.

i hear most other post talking about extended bluetooth option.

so i have idrive pro, with assist and internet, aswell as a usb port in the glove and in the armrest. i can stream audio from my iphone etc.

so do i have extended bluetooth or not.

Not sure if it'll show up but it should give you the spec

Kind of related, I have a windows phone and my car has always displayed the messages. With a recent software upgrade on the phone, the car now reads them out loud as they arrive ( quite cool). Probably a setting on the phone rather than the car then?

I'm probably mising the trick but how do I /or can I get messages displayed on the screen - I've got the iDdive and a Samsung Galaxy.

I hope I can do this as it a nice little party trick
