How do I go about sourcing sound generator?

So, I'm really keen to retrofit the sound generator to my E85 but I'm unsure how to go about getting hold of the parts. I can't see anywhere online that seems to sell the package I need, and I'm not sure ho to approach breakers about this as they don't seem to have knowledge of the parts.

If anyone can help me get hold of what I'm needing it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Greg

I bought all the parts from a main dealer but I suppose the only other option would be to try a scrap yard and go show them the part you want

I could just be stupid as I'm a few drams in with some rather Good Scotch but.. I dont recall "Sound Generator Mods" on the e85

However the e86 does have such a raspy interesting maker sound, to me it was just pure in cabin and not realy worth the time exploring..

Best left undone and work on exhaust.

I realy dont care what it sounds like when I drop into 3rd to go around a slow car. They see my car, if they appreciate the fact or not, is a different story.

The facelift e85 and 6 were identical in terms of engine and both had a sound gen.
The prefacelift also had a sound gen but only on a 3.0i. I assume the OP has a 2.2 or 2.5 which uses the same m54 engine and can easily add the sound gen.
OP, the sound gen is easily ordered from dealer- I'll get you part numbers in a minute. As for scrap yard just look out for scrap 3.0 on eBay or scrappies and then ask for it by either describing where in is on car or if possible go and show them. It's a mod worth doing as it makes a noticeable difference.

As said above here are the parts numbers:image.pngimage.png

You only need part 3 on here- Even if you get second hand with the other parts of buy this new as they fail over time so best to fit new when you're at it.

In this post you can see a picture of the parts and how to fit them- this should help you see where they would sit in a scrap car:
