As the title says, would like to know if there's a search engine you enter your chassis no in? Thanks for your help as ever

Use the link below. You will need to enter the last 7 characters of your chassis no.

Hi rob, thanks for the link but it says it can't find my vin? Am I just being a plumb,do you enter the dash? Mine is three letters then four numbers, not sure what I'm doing wrong but I really want to see what my baby has :headbang:

If you have a UK BMW, you can get the full list of options from the BMW UK web site.

Go to the website at http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/homepage/ and from the BMW Owner Area menu at the top, choose Genuine BMW Parts.

On the menu on the left hand side of the page, choose Parts Catalogue. Note the Username and Password (username 'eu111111' and the password 'bmwetk1') and then click on the link at the bottom of the page labelled Electronic parts catalogue. Find genuine spare parts and accessories for your BMW.

After logging on, this will bring up a window where you can enter the last 7 characters of your VIN, This then brings up another window - click on Options at the top of this window, and you should get the full spec as delivered.

Also useful for checking out cars that you are thinking of buying.

Your VIN will be something in the format 'WBSDU92000AB12345', and you want the last 7 - in this case 'AB12345'.

Great tool thanks for that! I've just bought a 2003 Z4 3.0SE that the previous owner has had since a few months old as an ex-demo, stated as having over £6000 extras when new, looks like there was!

mine says it has a rain sensor, but i haven't got a clue how it works

if i push the stalk up once, it does the intermittent wiper where you can change the speed. but that's not auto wipers, so i don't understand it really.

I believe you push the stalk up one position and then it goes into (auto) the slider on the stalk adjusts the sensitivity of the auto wipers.

cheers, will try it tomorrow and see if it works. been driving me mad since i bought the car in march, trying to figure it out

Thats awesome! I cant believe car matts and a warning triangle were options haha.
I found out mine has m sport suspension and blutooth, something I didnt know :) Could I pair my iphone with it in that case?!

Is there anyway of finding out how much money your car originally sold for when new? I'd love to know, I don't have a receipt anywhere etc.

My BM is paired with my iPhone, can go through contacts on headunit using steering functions.... very satisfying.

I didn't even know the car had bluetooth till I started seeing a girl who worked in my local Halfrauds and she was straight on it!

Not sure all of these are chargeable, some are possible FOC spec options (Free? BMW? Probably built into the price!). The list for my MC is below and you'll see some are options but there's no price. As for £6k, you'd be amazed at how quickly it adds up.

Z4MC OTR price 42,245
Options
Carbon black 745
Black nappa leather 0
Elec folding mirrors 160
Piano black trim 355
Sun protection glass 110
Seat heating 245
Park distance control 285
Cruise control 180
Navigation professional 1495
Connected drive assist 0
Bluetooth telematics 390
6 disc CD changer 295
Hifi speaker system 500
I-pod lead 350
47,355

I managed to get a price list brochure of e-bay, which as well as being a nice thing to have with the documents, lists all available options and the prices. Enjoy the car!

I just tried this and got
