No points for me now for some time. Did a Speed Awareness seminar last summer, 36 in a 30 zone.

Did have 10pts when I was younger, it was 6 but then I decided to contest my next 3 points and ended up with 4 plus a £150 fine when the fines at the time were £60. The plod forgot to put my Reg no. on the roadside ticket they issued so I thought I could get away with it, not a prayer!!

Rozzers are not my most favourite of people to be honest. Power mad the ones I've had dealings with before.

I Know some coppers and from what they tell me everyone in the Police hates traffic cops, power mad like you say and more hated than even the professional standards (the police police).
White tops as they call them apparently, or traffic nazi's as some of them said!

Being in Snowdonia with the boys and the Zeds this week I am not saying anything.

The A5 from Maerdy to Pentrefoelas is an area that the police use to catch people on a regular basis.

No points here (touching wood)

Picked up one endorsement back in the day for doing 40ish in a 30 zone on a newly opened dual carriageway which went to 50 mph within a week.

Just thinking about it - that was 38 years ago! :(

Had eyes peeled all day and none of us seen any at all.. I know Thats doesnt mean they didnt see us though !
Even did the EVO triangle very cautiously.

Clean right now.

Did a speed awareness as the alternative to 3 points a couple of years' ago.

Have had points on and off for 40 years, all for speeding but not by so much each time.

I kinda thought this would be a good show, but still - 80% clean at this posting, pretty impressive for what is essentially a sports car forum.

Clean now, but I did talk the judge into letting me off with 6 points after being nabbed at 114 on the dual carriageway in an SL. Sunny day, good visibility, non-urban, zero traffic - except for an unmarked police car :o

Think I missed my vocation as a lawyer...

Not had any points for years but in total I have had 12 points all for speeding and at one point they were all on my license at the one time.

I got 3 points back in 2005 for doing 33 in a 30 zone.
Being a young driver and relatively naive then, I had no clue that I could contest it.

Personally, I've never "earned" any points, but was awarded some when I was 18 and into bikes - mate borrowed my bike, assuring me he was insured and had passed his test - was picked up by the police, and both were incorrect. He was fined and given points, I ended up getting fined and awarded points for "aiding and abetting". He didn't borrow my bike again.... :)

I think I still have points on my Licence for doing 67km/h in a 70km/h area a couple of years ago. :?
Turns out I missed the temporary speed limit sign that dropped the limit down to 40km/h while school was being let out. There was no one around except the cops (as the kids/parents had long since left), and the speed had gone back up to 70km/h by the time they'd written the ticket. Sigh....
There was no excuse for speeding, but I actually though I was being good at the time, staying just under what I thought was the limit. Probably would have lost my licence if I'd been doing 75-80km/h :o

Must be all the 2.0l drivers! They need 2 extra cylinders to keep up :poke:

About 5 years ago now (pre-Z4) I unfortunately managed to reach 10 points, but moved to Germany for 2 years, enjoyed Nurburgring & Autobahn, and have been "clean" since, down to 0 now :)
