Let’s find out how law-abiding the Z4-forum members are behind the wheel :driving: :police:
It’s anonymous therefore there’s no naming, shaming or mudslinging - Just give an honest vote

I realise that most endorsements are 3 points, but looking at the gov.uk web site penalty points can be given in various aggregates, so I’ve kept it simple and listed 0 through 12

I've had a total of 9 points (3 x 3pts for speeding each time) on my licence over my driving career, never more than 3pts at a time though.

With the mileage/hoons I do, I consider 3 points every 4-5 years as an acceptable penalty :P

Latest 3 points are set are due to come off soon and were due to keeping my foot in when a 640d that I started to overtake on the A5 in Wales decided that he didn't want me to overtake. According to the officer who pulled me over, I hit almost 100mph, but as it was momentary and I slowed down to the speed limit as soon as the overtake was complete, he would only record it as 70mph

Completely clean at the moment. Only ever had 3 points in 17 years of driving.

Witch to be honest i am really bloody shocked by!!! Happy but it dose surprise me!!!

Same with less experience! Only had 3 points (81mph in a 70 :x :censored: ) in 9 years which are no longer on my licence

My licence is clean, but that’s not always been the case; I remember a spell back in the 90’s driving my Astra GTE 16v on 9 points for a while – that wasn’t fun

of course the poll will not show how law abiding we are just how often we get a way with it :D ... unbelievably my license is clean and i take the piss good and proper... my poor missus who generally drives like a saint has been done for 36 in a 30... big downhill drop which if you dont brake all the way down you end up creeping over the limit... this is of course a favourite spot for a scamera van although there is no housing or schools about, just a farm and a small industrial estate.. boils my piss

3 points, for a "borderline" tyre after picking a car up from auction.. Supposedly, the vehicle had also been inspected, as it was "Manheim Assured" and I'd been invoiced £25+vat for that check.. Showed the copper the report, but he wasn't interested...

I was NOT happy..

Mike

After holding a license for 57 years or so, a boring NIL POINT.
A lot of that time was overseas though, and very lucky.

I have 0 point and that has been the case for over the last 30 years which means I've not been caught speeding. I have been driving since I was 14 and I've never had an accident. A lot of that is just plain dumb luck but I will take all the luck I can get... :driving:

Surely these days 3 is the new 0!

I think the Government are due to make changes so that when you first pass your test your license comes pre-endorsed with 3 points to save on future admin costs.

No points but got caught doing 34 in a 30 limit 10 minutes after picking the Cayman up in October :x
Took the speed awareness course, never doing that again, I'd rather cut my own balls off with a rusty knife than sit through 4 hours of that utter shite again!!

Interesting, I thought/suspected this might be the case myself a couple of years ago when I got snapped. No local venue offered, cost was higher than the fine anyway (£100 vs £60), plus waste of a day's holiday from work and insurance company said my premium would be unaffected by the 3 points anyway. I paid the fine and took the points. Usually 100% of people say I'm a tit and that they would always take the course.

Got 3pts back in the 90s for doing 86 in a 70, then just as that came off,got 3points for going through an amber light that changed to red before I was completely through the junction!! Was only 19/20 then though.

Nothing since though, and driving for 25 years. :D

A big fat zero here too. It is hard to keep to the limit, especially in cars like the Z, but with cruise fitted, it makes life easier.

I did have a really useful "remote garage door opener" fitted when I had the Evo a really unfortunate side effect was it seemed to scramble the speed cameras :shifty:
