How can I tell if I have the sport chassie

Are you reffering to the M fahrewerk? My Z4 is german and it has this option although I really don´t know what it is - this may be it...
 
nah dosent say anything about the options selected... must be another way to tell if its present.. otherwise it seems like a kind of useless option :P

well i noticed by the high level of uncomfort when driving in Prague center....

I am currently on vacation in Belgium so I cant measure my clearence and compare with you and the others. :( Hmm, measure your ground clearence and compare with other Z4 owners from this forum. Try PM-ing one of the "gurus" (20ducks, cj10jeeper etc...), they will know for sure. I think that our Z are lower than the standard ones... :wink:
 
I thought the sport chassis had the "sport button". Then there's the M which is a whole different critter (and has "M" badging)
 
It's my understanding that the sports chassis (i.e. sports package) has the sport button. But I'm not sure about the 2.5's on the other side of the pond. The ride height is the next thing, which I can't remember what the diff is.
 
in the USA, the 2.5 sport package comes with 17" wheels, where the non-sport has 16" wheels.
 
BMW should be able to tell you what options were chosen when the car was registered. Mine is a 2005, 2.5 SE which has a sport button but I don't think it has sports suspension as the dealer didn't list it on the spec sheet when I purchased it a few months ago. I think only the 3.0 came as standard with sport suspension. I hope this helps and that i am not confusing things even more.
 
One other thought--if you register for the "owner's circle" on the BMW website, they ask for the VIN number. Doesn't that number encode which options are installed?
