How can i order usa only parts?

Hi, i'm after a front bumper protector strip for my 03/2007 Z4 but in the UK this is only available for the early models, the part is listed on realoem as a USA part.....

how can i order this part though and get it shipped to the UK? Has anyone have any experience of doing this?

Any help would be great.
 
I've found parts that are only listed on the USE websites. If they are still made, just get the part number and call your local dealer - they should be able to get them for no extra cost.

If they're not, somewhere in the states will ship them to you at cost.
 
Ive tried my local sytner but as they dont list the part they were no help, might try the bmw garage i got the car from.
 
Did you have the part number?

The reason I ask is that I've had 2 occasions at BMW where I needed a part and they couldn't find it (roof rack bits for a mini and my Z4 half-cover); but with the part number they found it immediately.
 
BMW dealers will order any part available from anywhere if you give them the part number. IIRC they have 2 parts systems. One give as it were the common ones that customers and workshop needs and the other allows them to get obscure bits, international and even items within a larger part (such as a loom within a retrofit kit). My local one even gets me Mini bits and they are not a Mini franchise.
 
Agreed with that. Unfortunately, it also depends on the part department's guy skill level. I had a very good guy in Vines who left unfortunately, but we managed to get every bit that I needed for the various satnav retrofits without issues.

I could even return the bits I did not need (as the car already had them but did not know that prior to the retrofit).

The guy who replaced him when he left is much more "computer says no" type bloke, and I have given up on getting parts from there.
 
I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to get either of my local dealers to order some Z4MC rubber boot /trunk mats.
