Hi All - first post on here after collecting my '05 3L SE last week. Having fun so far, a bit of a learning curve, but the first 'puzzle' is the wheels/tyres - hoping you can all help me. I'll post some pics when I have some time.

The car came with what I think are the 184 style wheels from the M5/M6. How do you measure rim size? I think they should be 18", but look to measure 19" from the edge of the rim. Is the correct measurement actually from where the tyre beading would sit?

Also do any of you know how wheel size, and staggered or not, affect the handling?
What was fitted originally - size/staggered?

The numbers on the tyres will tell you the rim size i.e. 225/45/R17 is 17" rim, staggered fitment would have different size tyre as well so rear would read something like 255/45/R17 and front 225 / 45 /R17 giving wider at the back.

Standard wheels on the 3.0 I believe were 17", but many came with 18".

Mine is on 18" (and was when I bought it) and personally wouldn't want any bigger. Nosa has answered your others questions
