one thing ill say is, i dont care.. boxing martial arts whatever... 3 men wrestled me down and held a gun in my face... i literally could do nothing, with my sons safety in question i had to yield and just be quiet and get these guys out my my house, i am by no means a push over, and in a one on one situation ... i would have done things differently....

in the grand scheme of things... whats been lost really??? nothing imo......

me n my boy are safe and ill make sure this never happens again...

im not the push over type, anybody thats met me here will understand what i mean....

it hurts me heart to say i genuinely was a sitting duck.... had my son woke up and started crying however..... id probably be dead now, as i would have got up and fight tooth and nail....

think ALOT of us on here need to change our ways, if we can prvent this happening to anyone else on here then its very good imo...

Just read this. I am glad you are your family are OK now. I know its bad to have everything you work so hard taken away from you but those things can be replaced with time. Your safety and your families safety come first. Things like this make you realise what you have to be thankful for.
I don't live that far away from sutton. Its horrible to know things like this happen full stop. Any area can be hit and no one is exempt.
 
Jesus as said many times before as long as you 2 are ok!! Very worrying being only 20 minutes up the road! They are probably using a quick get out route to the shitty parts of bham to live their sad pathetic lifes and they are the Ones that should be dead! Scum bags...

Very sorry to hear about this but pleased you and your son survied. my wife is still traumatised from our home invasion in march when she was attacked and robbed by masked intruders. we moved house on thursday to get her away from bad memories. we are a lot more carefull now with security and trusting people. the insurance is still proceding slowly but some items not replaceable. one strange thing this new address is lower contents insurance but almost double car insurance? Anyway hope you and your son get over this soon, posessions can be replaced.

holy s**t, how is she?? was she brutally attacked or did she get away unscathed??? fucking bastards!!! wankers.

damnn you actually moved house over it??? good god she must have REALLY been properly traumatised over what happened... im over ay parents at the mo and will go back in a few weeks, i still wonder how the first night will feel :-)
 
I think the ladies would be worse affected to be honest.

Since my break in a number of years ago, I turned the place in Fort Knox as it did frighten my wife a lot. Catching the burglar via DNA helped as at least we had a face to the unknown intruder.

All subsequent attempts have been dwarfed by my security measures and they have also been caught shortly afterwards. They actually sent crime prevention officers to my place now to look at how I had secured it. No doubt you will get a visit from them as well where they provide advice.

They did turn a blind eye to some of the methods I have in place ....
 
pvr REALLY ecited about some of the new measures ive got going in...

the new front door setup is insane and has a finger print pad incase i loose the key :-) its basically a safe door just converted to work in domestic use, these guys are meeting me tomoro @ midday, price is going to be insane.... but i cannot take a risk where my familys safety is a concern!!

actually going through the house the shits have taken everything that was grabbable and valueable, even some aftershave???? WTF??? when did they get that desperate????

insurance claim is HUGE. i do wonder how quick it'll all be sorted.
 
Biometric door lock - nice, I was thinking about one of these plus a video com

Which model did you go for? As I have a biometric fingerprint pad for my laptop but its very hit and miss.

ranski..... the mans coming tomorrow to finalise spec...

re the door is a level 4 with finger print pad and some of the most insane locks ive ever heard of.... they are bring a demo truck and was told i can have an hour to see if i can open the demo door... he also said feel free to use any tool you can think of... lol...

im hoping the insurance are going to at least put a small amount to the cost as my current frame has been damaged so needs scrappin anyway, i understand the setup im having is way over the top but.... this si the last time this will happen, and if it does, i will have covered every base...

Not sure I understand the point of such doors, unless you plan on grilles on every window or similar security at every access point?

If it gives you peace of mind then for sure.
 
Was thinking the same. No point getting a military grade front door and then having them throw a brick through a window and get in from there... I'd also refrain from talking about my security measures online for that matter...
 
Security doors are great...until the emergency services need to get in. Is there an option of leaving a key with the fire brigade / police?

pvr, during the fight in the hallway we were both pushing at the front door, the door is ok but the frame has now cracked and is twisting when i close the door, i can see it move.....

could it be sorted cheaply? yes.... re the windows, they are being upgrade too :-)

but 70% of robberies happen through the front door.... if the really want to get in they will but ive got to try and fortify the house.....

i dont really expect anyone on here to understand, but im doing it for my son... some of the questions asked in this are nothing short of bizare??? perfect example, pvrs above??? what did you think i opened the door and said "come in guys" no i fucking didnt i kicked it pushed it, barged, they did exactly the same....!!!

every access point in the house is going to be changed and secured.... EVERY point.... im not going to do have a front door thats like fort knox then leave crappy double glazing in place.... im doing the full works.... everywhere, its long over due, end of the day i just want to go home, im happy to, to be honest but cant take my son back to the house until i feel hes properly secure....

im not doing it to for anyone else but him.... id much rather leave as is and buy some car tuning bits tbh... but my boy comes first... no exceptions.
 
ok so now collating all info re the house and whats been taken, im pulling together all pics of me wearing certain items of jewellery ect ect
...... i can see they will want to get out of every single part of this claim possible.... so im just trebble checking and making sure everything is already accounted for.... they also took some of my parts haud for the z4m, but all that stuff ive got proof in terms of my recipt book and pics that ive taken for the forums...

like i say this claim is going to be a wopper.... REALLY not looking forward to my renewal which is like 5 weeks away ... DOOHHHH!!!
 
Sounds like a miserable task.
At least it's due in five weeks, not overdue by five weeks, otherwise you'd be in serious trouble...
