Successfull repair in January 2022:

Boot soft close failure-Fixed

Spent a couple of hours addressing this today. First off I checked the boot light connector. 12v present but no continuity to earth - very likely the left-hand soft close loom identified by others on this thread. Stripped the boot lid down, stripped the insulation back and...bingo! Black wire...

Noch nicht....derzeit funktionierts ja, wobei ab und zu gibts auch Aussetzer.....konnte mich zeitlich noch nicht näher damit beschäftigen nach anderen Verbindern /Verbindungstechnij umzuschauen.

Ist von Ebay repariert aber kann es leider nicht zurück geben...;/ Wurde als voll funktionstüchtig verkauft. Typisches Beispiel, wie man es absolut NICHT machen soll: 3 fette Crimpverbinder und dazu noch 10cm Schrumpfschlauch zur Versteifung. Das muss sofort wieder kaputt gehen! Witzigerweise...

Is there a part number for those 2 micro switches? I possible I would like to just replace both switches.

Not available at all on the world market.

However, they almost never fail, except due to violence by the owner. In this case, the owner must purchase a new locking system.

Is there a tool for unplugging electrical connectors on that assembly, so I can put it on the bench for repair. Not sure why I have so much difficulty unlatching those connectors. Is there a pin to be depressed?

On each connector there is a small pin (female) or a square hole (male).

To unlatch push a tiny flat screwdriver below the square hole.

I did it, but still had trouble. It just fought me every step. Probably sheared off the nubs. Anyway, got the job done and every thing back together. Now on to the next project, boot seal gasket.
