Hotels @ Manchester Airport

Rather than sticking a pin in the map I thought I would ask on here for recommendations in favour of or against hotels with parking at Manchester airport.
Some friends just stayed in Bewleys but couldn't sleep because of railway works.
That could have been a one-off on Saturday night but I've heard there is refurbishment being done at the station.

Does anyone have any inside or local knowledge please?
Thanks
Terry

There's a premier inn near me that allows you to leave the car at the car park. It does require a slightly longer taxi ride but it's a place relatives stay regularly and say is good.

Premier Inn Didsbury.

not sure what The Heald Green does about parking but is very close to the airport

Good shout thank you!
Should be able to get a room only deal and add chauffeur parking at the airport
DIY sleep park fly!

pity about Bewleys
Yes - it has been recommended before
Just found this note on the Holiday Extra website:
"The airport’s train station is closed until 10 Feb 2015"

We always stay at Bewleys and never have had any noise problems. Good restaurant in there and you can walk to the terminal if you want but they have a complimentary bus that takes 2 mins and picks you up when you need it.

Travelodge and Premier Inn are ok. Clean and cheap, basic breakfast and they run a transfer bus.

Edit. Railway works. Should read posts properly! Ask them if there's any rooms away from the noise?

You must have been having an (allowable) blonde moment !
I guess it's 50:50 whether you get a room at the back or front.

I think it might be easier (& quieter) to stay off site and chauffeur park next morning.
