Hospital and AF

I got carted off to hospital again!

My pulse rate from Rest suddenly went up from 65 to 140 for no apparent reason and stayed there apart from when it went to 171 for thirty minutes or more (measured on my Apple Watch.)

The 111 people send an ambulance for me - After a night in hospital A&E they say that this can be one of the after effects of Covid and especially those who’ve had AF

Those of us who’ve had / got AF just be aware.

Ps it’s a steady 65Bpm now

Hope you’re okay honey and.

Blimey, if I’m out walking in the Yorkshire dales it never gets to 171 bpm even climbing the most vertical of hills. I think some of the features on the Apple Watch are brilliant, that feature included. I take the resting heart rate with a pinch of salt, mine can vary between 59 and 74 within a few days

Take it easy Ron. Glad to hear things are returning to 'normal'

I have persistent AF, things are behaving today and the pulse rate is varying today between 60 - 70ish. Yesterday it went up to 120 briefly.

I'm in for cardioversion treatment on the 24th of this month, hoping it may sort me out.

They told me at A&E that they had seen these effects quite a lot when patients that had covid- I don’t know if there have been any clinical studies?

Hmm, I haven't had Covid so I don't count :)

Home is definitely better than hospital!

I was in A&E and found it dirty - the floor was filthy and I never yet found and washing facilities.

Best avoided if possible!

Getting older is pain in the proverbial. Somehow you never think these things will happen to you and when they do it comes as a bit of a shock. Glad you have made a good recovery.
If I have something go wrong and end up in hospital, which has happened a few times in recent years. My Good Lady says to family and friends. “Oh! Ian has has had another attention seeking episode”. I have been given strict instructions not to have anymore.
😊😊😊🙏

I didn’t like my bed position in the ward - it was opposite the medics station and it was quiet disconcerting having them all staring over at my monitoring stuff and discussing me!
