Oh yes, that time of the year again when the water companies can't manage supplies.

I almost got my own supply last time, but this time I will go ahead with it and get the pipe dug. Plenty of water here, part of my garden is still submerged in about 30 cm of water !!
 
Sh*t... thats going to make washing the car a bit more onerous.... or I'll have to drive to the in-laws in the north west every weekend :driving:
 
Just checked on the bore pipe costs. Uh, think I will pass :D

Last time they used helicopters to spy on us as we can not be seen from the road. Only 10k an hour to keep in the sky ...

My car washing won't be affected either, I also use sustainable supplies - i.e. rainfall :rofl:
 
Bugger. Laughable though - I am sure it will take more buckets of water to wash of my car than it would if I used a hose... Guess I'll have well defined arm muscles by the end of the summer :P
 
So .. how big can a bucket be. If I get a bucket of 500 litres and use a pump to feed my hose, all legal - right?

So what happens to the car wash guys operating from petrol stations? Are they exempt?
 
It still beggars belief that we have water shortage problems when we are surrounded by water :headbang:

Instead of building a high speed rail link, why not use the money and build a couple of desalination plants in the South East :poke:

So I am allowed to fill the container with water from the hose, then use the pump to pump it out again to the hose to wash the car. Job done :rofl:
 
luckily i have a house in Derby with no hosepipe ban.. and no water rates... i should just ship a container of water to my parents in London for when i wash my car there :D
 
The waterless wash product providers will be rubbing their hands together.... their time has come

Looks like I could also arrange to get my car washed on the various meets up North too... Adamski, if we re-implement our plan to take over that refinery we could pump water from Scotland instead of oil - be worth more down here !
