When taking out the DISA valve today, I've found this hose is perished & splitting.

I'm struggling to identify it in the parts lists. Is it item 5 in this list? It doesn't look to have enough outlets.

All I need is the part number, so I can order a new one.

Yes its the right part number. the 3.0 is different to the 2.2/2.5 ones as the 3.0 has the noise maker.
You do know you can use the bmw parts site RealOEM to check these things?
Its basically BMW's dealer parts catalog Online.

Thank you guys. I'm going to order one from genuineautoparts.com as they are the cheapest I can find online tonight.

What is the noise maker? I also discovered this part on the parts diagrams. Is the item on the right in my photo isn't it? What does it do?

Its the pipe for the sound generator that pipes induction sound into the cabin.
Search forum for sound generator mod for more info on what it is and how to get more noise its an easy diy.

I need to replace this item but did a quick repair on mine yesterday. Bit of Humbrol model glue on the splits (melts rubber and plastic together) then some insulation tape wrapped around the outside (temp fix).

Thank you. Not heard about the sound generator mod before and been reading up about it. I'll try removing the bulkhead foam from the pipe via the glove box end.
