Horny ...Be Prepared !

Over here in the New World ..
At least in the Great White Northern Half
We are too polite, to use the Horn Function unless we are in dire straights.

But , as I'm getting closer to the Epic Z4M Bumper install
Something inside me says that this would be an excellent opportunity to ramp up the Horn with something equally epic.

Don't recommend something that plays Dixie or similar..
In a perfect world I'd consider something similar to a WW2 Naval Destroyer on attack maneuvers !
Now that would shake that git from his cell phone.
If that's illegal, maybe a Fog Horn ?

Anyone here upgrade their horns ?
Those red twin trumpet Fiams look too cheap to actually work.
Plus with an integrated air compressor I expect there would be some 'turbo lag.

Looking for advice

ps ...
Seeing as I was laid out in the road by a distracted driver on her cell phone ..
That Desroyer Blast is looking better and better

Loving the Destroyer option, I've always fancied that myself. I also think a police siren would scare the crap out of cellphone users, as an auxiliary horn...

Those Fiams are wonderful, if you want to sound like a mad Italian

Especially if you could incorporate an 8" gun on the bonnet .....

Or hidden James Bond style machine guns or tyre shredders.

Paintball guns would be great fun, just pull up behind and let off a few rounds, should make a bit of a mess, which could be easily cleaned off, but would certainly make the point :D

In a similar vein many years ago a mate rigged up an external loudspeaker behind the radiator grille connected to a CB microphone so that he could "communicate" with pedestrians.

Oh we had some fun in the busy high street.

I think cj updated his horn.

I would love to have mine match the one i have in GTA online! A nice clown sound, or even better the sound of a hairdryer!

Replaced mine with compressor driven air horns. They wake the lane drifting idiots up.

Mot station is aware now as half the mechanics cr*pped themselves when tested the first time MOT'd by them :)

No lag and an easy install in the is corner. Fitted with normal and now ///M bumper, but more of a faff to align.

Have a look for Stebel Nautilus air Horn. Had the compacts on my bike, well loud, legal and because its self contained there is no maintenance and no delay in blasting idiots. :D

They are an easy Instal.

Due to the power any air horn uses you will need to do a bit of tinkering. Take a 12V feed (in line fuse) from the Main 12V live under the bonnet and run this to the bumper to power a relay which comes with the kit. Use the old horn feeds on the other side of the relay to trigger it. If you use the old ones to feed it direct it will work for a while before the cables melt.

Easy Peasy. :driving:

I actually measured up the engine bay on my FJ45 LandCruiser for an M2 (aka. Ma Deuce ....50 Browning Machine gun)
That straight 6 had tons of room on the side.....but sanity prevailed, darn it.

(You could get two of the aircraft version in there. one on each side.....right behind the large single headlights :!:   )

Hey Y'All
Thanks to everyone for the Stebel Nautius heads up !
I was unaware of that product.
Looks like a logical alternative to trying to graft the front end of a Destroyer onto the Zed !
Looking at several You Tube Videos it looks like the Z4M metal brake duct supports would be a perfect mounting location.
Plus the top vents in the brake ducts would be the perfect audio outlet for those dual horn trumpets.

Just goes to show you that you never know until you ask the question.

Cheers
