Can someone tell me where the horn is on a 57 M models as it has suddenly stopped working?

There are two, near the fog lights, behind the bumper. You will need to remove the bumper to get at them.

Probably in the same place, but harder to get at as they will be behind the air ducts if they are... That said, can't you just take them out like you would the lower covers in the arch on non-Ms ?

Not so easy as the air ducts replace the lower access panels in the arch. Assuming they are the same place as other Zeds, which I assume, then it's bumper off.

Given both have failed, which unless one has been dead for a while unnoticed seems unlikely, then I'd take a quick check of the fuse first

Good call - Would also check that the switch behind the steering wheel central boss hasn't gone, although that is pretty rare.
