Hood re-dying

I've been using Renovo for about 12 years now. Really good stuff, but as per previous posts:

If you have worn parts that are shiny, they stay shiny, as this is the fabric wearing and not the hood that is discolored.

Use the shampoo, twice and scrub (lightly). If you don't get all the previous proofer off, the dye won't take and will just run off. On to the paint work.

The Renovo proofer is actually very good and has a UV blocker in it that stops the dye fading quickly.

I have used the autoglym kit to clean and then renovo to re-dye and was happy with the results. That was about 2weeks ago, going to rinse off the roof and apply a second coat of renovo this weekend and then seal it with Gteniq - which looks like amazing stuff.

As on some other threads the renovo did initially leave the roof somewhat crusty..but this it has returned to a more normal texture since.
I have found lint rollers a really usefull tool for cleaning the roof when local cats seems to have had a nice sleep there :headbang:

.

I haven't seen your shiny parts  but i did have some that i managed to remove with nothing more than a new dry kitchen scotch pad used gently in all directions as opposed to rubbing or circular .
Done with roof dry they just came out :? worth a try
