In reality tho, my main problem time is in my garage at home. Although it’s a double there is a support pillar in the wrong place.
The proximity thing would probably be ok but the heads up is appreciated.

The pillar currently supports two intersecting beams under the gable end and the front of the house.
Putting a normal car in the garage isn’t a problem but the door on the z4 is akin to the position of the rear door of a normal saloon car.

Things have moved on a lot Ronk, it’s now quite easy to underpin without all the digging previously needed. If you’re genuinely concerned I’ll look up a system I studied a couple years ago that uses ground anchors and even a jacking system that pushes the wall back into place using said anchors if the corner is starting to crack.
