hood motor

iv had my z4 for 5 years apart from usual service wear and tear its been great albeit as a second fun car car ,however the dreaded scourge
has happened the hood motor packed up with the hood down, tried to release it with the pull button in the boot but won't release,i live in hatford shire have been quoted £900 to repair any one know another option or someone who could do it for me even release so i can use manual, any help would be appreciated

Do you mean Hertfordshire, Herefordshire or Hatfield, Herts ??
