Hood Handle Cover

A daft question I know, but does anyone know how to remove the plastic cover which fits over the hood emergency release handle? (the removable panel on the hood just above the rear view mirror).

Something inside mine is rattling like buggery and driving me insane but I can't get at it!

I just had the catch that holds the hood down replaced and while they were at it, the trim was all reassembled with felt tape. That cured most of the noises but there is still a very quiet rattle .... well more of a ticking really. Is that the sound you are talking about? Having had the catch replaced I figured I was stuck with the ticking. At least all the rest of the creaks, squeaks, moans, groans etc have disappeared now (except when I take the missus along).

Sorry, I don't know how to get the plastic cover off but when someone on here gives you the answer, I know it'll be worth doing.
