hood cleaners

is there a better hood cleaner than the autoglym kit? i used it yesterday and the results are not so great. where the hood touches the rubber strip around the back end of the car there was a lot of green mold/marks. i did it twice and its got about 50% of it off.
on the rest of the roof there seems to be lots of blotches. they were there before i started and dont seem to have shifted much at all. best way to describe it is it looks like a cat has walked over the clean hood with a very faint amount of green dust on its feet and left faint paw prints.

none of it is bad but there are definite green patches that the autogly isnt touching. maybe i need to get it re-coloured?

need a stronger brush matey.
The pad thing that comes with the Autoglymn kit is not exactly good enough for getting deeper mould out.
Tampico brushes seem the way to go

ah right ok, ive got loads of the cleaner so ill give it a go with a stiffer brush, maybe a clean paint brush as its a nice afternoon and im not up to much.

Try Renovo.
I have used this on my Z4 and a SAAB 900.and a mouldy BBQ cover successfully
Dampen the hood with a mist spray first, paint the Renovo on and leave for 20 mins (out of direct sunlight so it does not dry out). Then use a firm bristle brush and hot water to gently scrub the hood. Renovo also have a colour restorer blue and black. Then use the ultra proofer to water proof. Recommended by vintage car restorers. Or Try Ragtop - this is an American product.
Good luck
