My dad and I recently bought a 2003 Z4 E85 as a donor car for our current 2003 Z4 E85. Over the years, the donor has had various M parts fitted, which we’re now transferring to our main car.
At the moment, we’re swapping the hood from the donor onto the main car. The problem is that the gap at the front, where the hood meets the bumper, is uneven in the middle — the sides line up fine, but in the center it’s either too high or the gap is larger than it should be.
We’ve tried loosening the hinges and readjusting while the hood is closed, but it hasn’t fixed the issue. The bumper is also an M version from the donor car.
Has anyone come across this before? Could this be a latch adjustment issue, or something to do with the bumper mounting? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
