Just had service at 33k, on 34k now and he said Inspection 2 due at 60,000 (could somebody confirm this)

Hi Robbyman - this could be right.

If the car has just had an Inspection 2 at the 33k service, the service schedule will be:

Oil change
Inspection 1
Oil change
Inspection 2

With around 14,000 miles between each service (this is dependent upon how hard the car is driven) the next Inspection 2 is a long way off. Servicing is also time limited, so if you don't do lots of miles you'd need to have each stage above done every 2 years.

The car looks great IMO and I think the colour really suits the Z4.

Hope you find a good one at a price you like.

You don't carry out inspection services until required by distance. At 2 years it needs oil and brake fluid only, inspections as they come up on dash. Dash should not be reset unless due by dash, if by time DO NOT reset this is how service histories get messed up.

Well when was the last time you went to a dealer? and when i sold my 3 series 2 weeks ago I haggled and got 1500 more for my car over list which they then put on the forecourt for a £1000 profit which is fair I think. I also got around 3k worth of value added extras for the M... In this case I think you find I am correct.

Well without knowing the intimate details of that deal I can't comment - no idea how old that 3-series was but £1000 gross profit on a car on a BMW forecourt sounds cheap to me (and thats based on experience inside the motor trade).

One can only assume that they did you on whatever you traded it for....the motor trade NEVER takes a bath if it can help it. And 3k of value added extras probably cost them about £700 trade so I wouldn't get too excited LOL.

I don't claim to be correct myself, but the general concensus on this thread seem to be that somewhere in the 16s is the max for this car.
