Honda S2000

I loved mine, best & worst car....in the wet and pressing on....god no! My S2000 was where my forum name came from and kept it ever since.

Gear shift and engine noise was amazing, loved every second when pushing on & some of my most memorable drives.

Tonneau was quite literally the most poorly designed thing ever taking up so much boot space

Insurance is mad though, I assumed driven by younger drivers when the prices bottomed out - it seemed like a generation change in owner language on the owners club, all text speak & made me feel ancient :P

Do it - you can get an E89 again easily but not a known loved history S2K.

That pale metallic blue is the one colour I'm not a fan of. I'm after red, a silver/grey or white. I don't feel I'm missing out now. It'd be a good buy for yourself though but not sure in daily use it's going to be as easy to live with as a Z4. Although I used elises daily for over three years and they were the best years driving ever.

If it was a choice between the 2 I'd be in the S2k. I regret not buying one all those years back...

Another +1 for the S2k - utterly magic car. I watched my perfect car get bought literally minutes before I called to put my deposit down - later facelift GT Model, in yellow with a hard-top - just gorgeous! I ended up with my coupe as a result, and still love it now 3 years on, but I will always have a hankering for an s2k - very much still on the must-have list for the future!

Another one for buying - no hesitation. A growing market for them and your Father's S2000 low mileage and known history makes it one that will be easily sold. As mentioned it will hold it's value and with 'dady discount' you will make money.
Sought after and very well thought of - what's the hesitation? As someone mentioned above - keep for a time then sell when 3.5is available at the right price.
For interest - I tried a S2000 before deciding to buy my first Zed (2 litre version) - someone had tried to turn the Honda into a noisy monster - induction Kit and loud exhaust. Keep it standard for best return.

Decided against going for the S2000 at this point in time (sure I will regret this later on in life) but other things must take priorities.

The S2000 has gone and he has replaced with an Jaguar F Type S V6 - jealously has certainly increased!

Did he get a good price for the s2k? Seen the values of these going up quite fast especially for low mileage cars

He was offered 16k from a dealer which I he was pretty surprised about.
