HomeComing Vacation

My wife and I are trying to plan out our first vacation we have ever taken since we have tied the knot (23 years ago).
Of course our ultimate destination will be HC08.

We plan are leaving early in the week and take a nice one, two or three day drive down from Va Beach. Va.

I was thinking of hitting the "Tail of the Dragon". That is a little out of our way but I have heard it is worth it...

If we do the "Tail of the Dragon", then we will come down I-81, then proceeding down to HC. From VB to the "Tail of the Dragon" is about 580 miles, then another 180 miles to the hotel at HC.

If we bypass "Tail of the Dragon" we will be driving down I-85 to HC and that will be a 480 mile trip.

Are there any other places of interest we can go on our first Roaster trip?

My wife likes to shop, especially small shops and country stores.
I have to keep reminding her that the trunk on the 'VaderMobile' is NOT that big.... :headbang:

I am fixated on HC... AND seeing FNI washing her car in a bikini: ... ....

I am planning a week of vacation in Myrtle Beach around June. that "Tail of the Dragon" interests me. Where is that more precisely?

I have driven through the Blue Ridge Parkway once. That's also quite nice.

Pictures of gorgeous women in bikini washing their roadster? :) I'm all for that.

I thought the Tail was a motor cycle thing?? I used to live in SC and my dad would drive up there (NC right?) to ride the tail. Anyways I like Charleston (born and rasied!) and it's only like another 300 miles or so =)

Yo Ship,

Don't sweat the trunk size for shopping, just have the stuff FecEx'd home !! And, btw, great NEWBIE smiley's.
