Homecoming 2007 - Day by Day - Check in when you get home!

Glad to see that almost everyone has arrived back home and enjoyed themselves. It was a great time, and I am spending today unwinding, and actually enjoying the rest of my vacation time doing nothing. 
I will be back home tomorrow and will organize pics and post them up

Hmm - flew there you say? That's a practical way for me to attend instead of trying to drive 5400 miles round trip. :slaphead:

I have a work/personal schedule that gave me a choice....fly to HC or don't go. I didn't want to miss this event nor meet up with old friends and meet some new ones. Here is more on Saturday - The Banquet!
Held in the Body Shop of the main BMW Manuafcturing Plant, we formed a mixed caravan of Z cars from the Embassy Suites Hotel -
Parking in the employee's lot -
Waiting in line for Catering to open the food serving tables -
Wall murals that cover the walls in the entry halls -
Ken Sparks, Manager of Corporate Affairs, welcomes us -
Mark, "2Zero", is audience "Assistant" for the Juggling Act part of the program - :rofl:
Thanks to the the BMW Staff who worked so hard to produce this action packed event!

Great to see old friends, Forum member names now have faces and are friends and it's all about these great cars! Hope to see more of you next year!

I'm home! What a great weekend. It was great meeting the few people I was able to meet. i left the hotel at 12 pm and made it home by 10:45pm. 706 miles 8)

YES! Someone brought a Z1. First time I've seen one outside the Zentrum.

Arrived at The Embasy Suites on Wednesday, not many people here yet, most come in on Thursday. Did see JackB1's car in the parking lot
As you can tell, the weather was not that great, but did turn nice when it needed to. Another pic on arrival
I had to run over to Atlanta and get 20Ducks, and found JackB1 and his wife in the hotel atrium when we returned. JackB1 was in the middle of posting his updates on here :lol:
More rain as the "Sea of Z's" start trickling in for HC Registration on Thursday evening
Friday morning was the Performance Driving Event!! A great time was had by all that had a chance to drive the Z's, on a track, without worry of wrecking their own cars

Stopped by the Vendor Fair afterwards
, and had the fine gentleman from LeatherZ install an armrest (which is fantastic by the way! ) Other bits and pieces got fitted while I was there, but will show that in a different thread
Ran into one of our missing Forum members on our return to the hotel

Friday evening was a banquet inside the hotel. Dinner pics with some of our Forum members, first up, 2Zero and his wife

Saturday morning was the Panoramic Photo shoot. All the Z's were lined up and awaiting the photo being taken. Afterwards our Forum members got together for a photo-op Rabman5 was in attendance but did not make in time for the pic (big rush, due to a large group behind us trying to do the same thing)

Ginger did make it to HC!!! She is currently on her way to California in the caring hands of IMZ4N, and I will let 20Ducks tell that story. Since I was not able to get a pic of Rabman5 in the group pics, here he is modeling Ginger.

Actually Aebous, I am contemplating a trip out there w/my folks in the near future, only they will fly and I'll drive. Don't tempt or tease... 8) , I'm known for spur of the moment get-a-ways.Aebous said:

Granted I won't be back in that area till after the 15th. Besides, what is there to contemplate? It's Vegas, go check out the free shows and maybe some of the not free ones, walk the strip, laugh at fellow tourists (and some locals), pick up some locals, get drunk in the casino (cheapest way), generally have some fun.
