I am at present away from home in Japan, 10 days ago my wife was attacked in our home by two masked intruders who robbed her of money and jewellry also making off with her handbag credit cards and car and house keys.
The cards have been stopped and the house locks changed but my wife was and is very shocked and found it hard to call the car insurance but got no help, the car was in the driveway locked but she had no keys as my keys were also in her bag. The police were concerned that the thieves could come back and take the car. I tried to call the insurance via satellite but no help. I called the dealers and they recommended bmw rescue who turned up in 1 hour and removed the car to the dealers.
My question is how long will it take them to change the locks it's a 2007 3.0SI roadster also should this be covered by normal fully comp insurance? I am not calling them as too difficult at present to get a good line I should be home Sunday to try and sort everthing out.
