Yes I had (and still do) have a love of taking things apart to see how they work and I got a right belt off my casssette recorder as I took the back off and then turned it over and put a finger over the mains transformer..ow

BT engineers have a thing they call tag rash..its when you are in an exchange and are running jumpers on the main distribution frame MDF and you get a shock and drag your hand out quick across all the terminators with all their lovely sharp bits of solder stuck out..Doesn't happen these days as they are all punch downs now

Workplace regulations are so tight now that about the only place you can get a shock is at home....

53 started in 1979... in fact the Post Office used to issue a special fingerless leather glove to protect the back of the hand
