According to the article all three people in the BMW were extracted alive - looks like a mother and her two kids, a 10-year-old and a 10-week-old
 
Did you all watch the News reel footage at the bottom of ST's link? An Army heavy duty fork lift just happened to be passing by... but in any event, amazing anyone survived in that car.
 
This accident occurred about 25 miles north of Santa Barbara. It received a lot of press here, and yes, there were three passengers in the car - including an infant. All three survived - the driver of the truck was killed when his truck plunged over the side....
It really shows the quality of the safety construction that BMW uses.
The crew that stopped to help was on their way to/from fighting California wildfire - GREAT guys!
