Summer's coming soon - can't wait to get a bit of the Med sun on my old bones! Any Grecophiles out there ? ( thats lovers of GREECE in case you misinterpret ) off to our favourite Greek island - THASSOS - in June and cant wait. Tried many other Islands but we love this one and keep going back. Not sure what's the prices are going to be this year with the current crisis but what the heck - there's no pockets in shrouds ! We're not in to 5 star ( just as well in Greece ) - give us a bed/ fridge/ shower and balcony with a sea view/sunbed on the beach and thats heaven.

Whats your idea of paradise?

Nice. Spent some time on Ithaca which was pretty special. This years paradise will be during April and the islands of Hawaii.

Off to West Coast America, flying into Sanfrancisco then traveling down to San Diego and flying back from LAX, 3 weeks in total, bring on the sun!!!! 

Booked a fortnight in the summer in a remote cottage in Scotland, just south of Mallaig. No phone, no neighbours...but perhaps no rain is pushing it!

Beautiful part of the world - my grandparents used to take me and my brother there on holiday when we were small. And made us swim in crystal clear blue waters that look just like a tropical seashore. Don't be fooled. They re not the temperature they look like they are.

As for paradise - the Maldives. The ONLY place bar none where I arrived at the resort to find it looked even more beautiful than the holiday brochure. Bliss - the baby reef sharks in the shallows as we stepped off the boat onto the jetty just set the whole tone of exotic paradise. Not a place for adventurists or parents as you could walk round the island in about 40mins, but for couples it's perfect. Didn't wear shoes for 2 weeks - didn't need to
