Holes in roll bar covers

Just got my roll bar covers dropped off and noticed they have pre drilled holes :( thought they were plain i am sure i have read on here people asking about fiting wind deflector and having no holes in the covers are these standard or is it possible to get plain covers no holes ?
 
They are prepped for the wind blocker perhaps it had one fitted. I have a set with no holes from when I fitted my wind blocker.

These are brand new from BMW not the ones i have on the car they will have the holes as my car was supplied from new with deflector which i sold a while back.
 
Different part numbers for the wind deflector fit.....
