Hmmm...should I?

I split my time between London and LA. I've got silver Coupe back at home that I absolutely love. I love the attention it gets and the feeling I get inside everytime I see and drive it. However, I hate leaving it anywhere and worry about it constantly. My worst fears have been confirmed by Mik's recent topic.

So to cut a long story short I've been thinking about a c-class Coupe, a car I wouldn't have to worry about etc. Seen quite a few in LA and they don't look too bad and I'd save £6000 which is peanuts in the long run I guess.

I suppose I just want someone to tell me it's a seriously bad move. I think I'd probably regret it in a few months. Heart n head and that...some of the z3 m-coupes look stunning out here still.

try leaving a roadster somewhere ..
btw just saw a coupe 2day for the first time (we only have few z4 im israel coupe and roadsters).. it was alpine white and its a real beauty !

Mate , you know you ll regret it. I ve done that thing about moving away from a marque or model that I adored for all the wrong reasons and when I ve realised my mistake its cost me a small fortune to go back. The logic behind your thinkiong is there but in my experience,if your having doubts now you sure as hell will down the line,
Petrolheads like us are all about our cars and the way they make us feel....do the right thing and keep the BM

You'd definitely regret it. It's just a gorgeous and fantastic car, you'd regret downgrading and wish you had kept it despite worrying about it.

You wouldn't have to worry about a Mercedes C-Class? :o Personally, I am often traveling and I do not worry about my Z4MC. That's what insurance is for and you hope for the best. I would suggest to keep the coupé.

I leave my Roadster in the UK and I'm away for 3 months at a time (or longer). Although it is in a locked garage at home, so it's pretty safe!

A totally different class of motor's but in 1994 I got rid of my Mk2 XR2 through fear of getting it stolen/vandalised - I'd had it over a year, loved the car, but was just really nervous.

I bought an Orion injection ghia - and 6 weeks later got it nicked while I was parked just up the road from the Sheff Weds ground and I was at the game.

Taught me a lesson - don't live your (car) life in fear - its not worth it.

In a 1 word answer NO!

This what I had before the Z4

I only kept the thing 6 months, while it was ok as a car I just found it so boring. Get in press the accelerator and off you go, there was no driver involvement at all.

Getting the Z has given me my car passion back now so to speak, I'm wanting to do little mods to it and love to get out with the roof down.

if you do have your heart set on the C Coupe go for the face-lift version.

:)

I know you guys are right on so many levels.

Just seen one on rodeo drive followed by an slr and in my opinion the Coupe looks almost as stunning as the merc just on a smaller scale.

Maybe I've been persuaded to keep it for now, just wish we didn't have front plates!

Thanks for your input guys and girls

The SLR is a strange Supercar, it just doesn't stand out at all. I see a roadster a lot in the car park where I shop, and you wouldn't know what it was unless you were a car fan!
