Sorry if this sounds disloyal - I love my 2004 3.0SE in Sterling Grey but if the right Audi TT Coupe ( 2007 - ) came along in Red !! My ideal price would be around £12k - As an old git mortgage free etc I suppose I could afford a new one ( YOLO etc ) but I wouldn't feel comfortable spending so much money

I have considered a Z4 Coupe but it just doesn't look right to me ( sorry Coupe owners ) and red ones are as rare as hens' teeth.

Then there is the problem of finding the right car - I would want a comparable one to my car ie original , 1 owner and low mileage or it would feel like going backwards . Looking on AT there are quite a few red coupes but for this price range there is nothing anywhere near my car's mileage ( 30k ) .

I tried a TT quatro 225 some years ago and it felt good - has to be a Coupe as the roadster is way too cramped for my frame .

See there are a few Diesel ones about ( stands back in horror :evil: )

Thoughts anyone ?

never really liked the audi tt personally....however whatever floats your boat is all that matters...if you have an itch to scratch then do it as you said YOLO

Go with what you want Gov, plenty of Zeds around if you wanted to return to the fold, and with a bit of hunting you'd find a low mile one again. Try something different, expand those horizons.

We have had our Diesel auto TT a while now. And i actually love it.

Good power delivery smooth gear box with paddle and sport option. You can even use it as a sequential type device. The wife averages 40MPG that only goes down to about 38 when i get the keys.

Had a letter from Audi Yesterday!! Saying that our car is affected by the recent problems. But they are working on a fix. And there will be no cost incurred!! I bloody hope not!

Ours was on paper a 36k car ish!! We didn't pay anywhere near that. It will be a low millage very well looked after car when we come to sell. But that will be a while a year at least.

I like them, looked at a TTS a couple of days ago but there were a few issues (rust + 6 owners on a 30k mile car) so I walked away without a test drive.

TT TDI seems fairly popular and the Amplified edition like Mat's makes it look that little bit more sporty. Almost looks like an RS

Walked past several newer TT's today - have to say they look good close up ! Have to be patient to find the right one but I reckon I'll go down this line - also saw a new MX5 - really impressive to look at but crap engine :lol:

Not a fan on the TT either.. More of a women's car in my opinion.

I really like the new mx5... Shame they are so low powered, I know the press always say it's fine but sometimes you can't beat booting it.. I read on piston heads that bbr have taken a Mazda 3 2.0 skyactive up to 200bhp so they are assuming they can do the same with the mx5 which should make a difference
