Evening all

I'm just thinking of little projects for next spring...
Does anyone have any experience, or know the answer : Will fitting a HJS Downpipe 300 cpi Sportkat, with ECE to my G29 M40i effect mapping (bring up any awkward faults), or effect a UK mot in any way 🤔

I'm thinking of what easy straightforward solutions there may be to opening up the exhaust sound

Cheers everyone

This was my worry when I was thinking of changing the exhaust. The main issue blocking the sound is the OPF which is an emission control device. Thus, the rule says we should not alter them, or it fails the MOT. However, in reality, I saw so many people alter them. Some of them revert back and sold the car before it needs its first MOT (Youtubers). Some of them (one of my friend) swaps back to original one just for the MOT. Thus, I ended up getting a N/A car without OPF.

My ignorance, sorry......what's an "N/A car without OPF"
All I know is that mines a UK 2019 car.

Should work a ok..German company selling German approved products..no tuning no errors..

[ref]omegabri[/ref],

NA = Naturally aspirated- non turbo
Non OPF = Otto particulate filter also known as PPF petrol particulate filter.

So your 2019 zed would have both an OPF and a turbo.

[ref]omegabri[/ref], this is the answer.

My girlfriend now has my Supra, but I can tell you from experience that OPF delete will trigger an amber engine light and will need "mapped" out. I used MHD and it was brilliant, can run the standard OEM map, but code the errors out. You might get away with just the downpipe and standard OPF as many of the "quality" downpipe manufactures with 200 cell guarantee no warning light, so with 300 cell you should be fine.

PM me with any questions if you like, I'm not on here that often, but it's a great forum to check in on now and again.
