Great news Hunter - slow but steady progress is all good. Still thinking of you all :thumbsup:
 
I must've missed this thread while I was away at the weekend. The first post was quite shocking. Was really good to keep reading, seeing all the support, and now seeing some really positive signs. Hope he's better soon :)

Good morning folk, bit of a set back yesterday...lung has collasped again and he has a chest infection, resadated ..so now totally unresponsive again...i know these set backs are to be expected...but still gets me down :(
 
Not the best news, but as you say thee set backs are to be expected, not that it makes it any easier to cope with. Anyone who has kids empathises with you and as you can see by the responses on here we are all wishing you the best,keep strong. :thumbsup:
 
So sorry to hear of this and the recent set back - sounds like he's a fighter though - our thoughts are with him.

Not uncommon to get a chest infection while on a ventilator, he is young so this set back should be short lived. Remember its just the drugs that are making him unresponsive - once they are switched off he will be back to how he was when he was improving.

Intensive care/High dependency are very scary places to see your loved one but all those horrible lines and tubes are there for good reasons. I hope the drs and nurses are keeping you informed as much as you want - if not, just ask them - we are always happy to be asked.
