Well guys ive had a bit of a rough week, my son was seriously injured when a car ran him over doing about 70mph in a 30mph zone..and diddnt stop, the break lights diddnt even flicker..they just went and burnt the car out. My son has been in a coma since with massive injuries. The guys have been caught, passenger has made a confession but the driver has denied it...they had been drinking, speeding and playing with the car stereo when it happend...here is the consequences of their behavior.

shocking, he looks badly roughed up

Is it too early to know if Haydn will have any longterm disabilities?

Thoughts are with your family...

So sorry to hear that, a parent's worst nightmare!

Very best wishes and recovery.

Bloody hell! That must have been a massive shock!
I wish him a full recovery, which seems possible, he must be pretty strong to have survived at all.

Poor Lad.
Poor you.
:(

Hes had operations to repair the internal stuff and repair his pelvis. He was thrown 20ft into the air and his head bounced of a brick wall. He is now able to respond to simple commands like squeeze my finger if you can hear me.. but is still unable to breath for himself or open his eyes or mouth.

That is good. A friend had his 19yr old daughter lose the use of all four limbs in a car accident a couple of years ago. Hard hard hard. Just thinking about it upsets me. She seems to have bounced back though. Full of life and plans. Albeit somewhat moderated.

My sympathy is yours.

I'm just so sorry, no parent should ever have to go through this, I would say that everyone on the forum wishes your son a speedy and full recovery

....as for the driver, charge and convict him of attempted murder, bang him away for 20 years and never let him drive again.

My god, that is terrible, so sorry to hear of this. Thoughts and wishes with you and your family, Hunter.

Hunter, that's truly awful - thoughts with your family, and most of all Haydn. I sincerely hope he makes a full recovery in time.

Thanks guys...if you have kids yourself that drive..may be worth while showing the consequences of loutish driving.

Devastating. So sorry to read this. As with the others, really hope he makes a rapid and full recovery.

I am so sorry for your lad and your family. I just can't imagine the emotions you have all been going through. Awful, just awful.

Hope he makes a complete recovery and soon.

They should throw the key away, stupid little boys driving cars who think they're men.

My sympathies. Must be awful for you and your family. My very best wishes for a speedy recovery for your son.

Not little boys, 22 and 28....im just totally drained

They are still little boys in the way they act. But 22 & 28, bloody unbelievable. Makes my blood boil so I can't imagine how you are feeling. Like you said totally drained at the moment I expect the anger will come back. If anyone did that to one of my boys..... :headbang: :headbang:

Could feel my skin going into goosebumps reading your post. Weird how life can change in an instant. Thoughts with all your family xx
