Hit a nice milestone today

You were taking pictures with your phone whilst doing nearly 90 mph? Wow. o_O

It's not real...just a joke AI image!

It was obvious really, was when was the last time you saw a real police officer :ROFLMAO:
Careful, they’ll be round to get you for this post. Rather than trying to deal with real crime.

Nothing special, but my 2006 3.0si hit this particularly pleasing milestone yesterday. Still runs like an absolute champ and still looks the business!
(Ignore my speed please  )

Might seem a random question, but are you still on the original timing chain tensioner or has it been changed/upgraded?
I'm on 134,000 miles and this just done all the oil seals. I have a new/upgraded chain tensioner to fit but may hold off for a while.

Not as far as I know. I know for sure I haven't done it, but then again I've 'only' had the car for the last 70.000 km, so who knows what was done before that. Service history doesn't mention it either.
I did have the head gasket replaced not too long ago, so the chain was loosened and retimed. As far as I know the tensioner can be replaced independently though, and it's not a super hard job to do. Might be worth it for me as well now that you mention it :)

If the chain was loosened then retightened they would have to remove the tensioner so if they put an updated one in it will have the flatter, shinier head.

Ah my understanding was it's something that can be left on during that kind of work. So thanks for the headsup, I haven't actually checked, but will certainly do so this weekend!
