Hire a Z4...

So, I have just been to take a friend to collect a hire car for the weekend.
They had a new Z4 sitting there with my name all over it!

£400 ish for a week (including the damage waver). Sounds like a good deal to me!

I forgot to say - I'm in Germany. :D
My Golf 1.6 max'd out at 210 km/h and I feel the need for speed.

What do we think? £400 for a week of top-less Autobahn action :driving:
 
I'm just adding it up now for a week. One of my friends will have two of the days and share the cost.
It can't be a holiday romance as I'm working so it will just have to be a Bit on the Side :D
 
Haha - is that unlimited miles?

I wanted one in Vegas but they were asking about $200 for an E85 for 24h - plus insurance - plus young driver suppliment with only 100 miles. Decided to leave it! That price for a week sounds ideal if you are sharing, post some pics of it topped out will ya :thumbsup:
 
And if you happen to be in the state of California, for 300 pounds more you can hire a 2010 Chevrolette Corvette with a 6.2 L 430 BHP V8 engine for a week.

Well, I booked it - only problem is that they can't confirm the Z4, it may be an SLK :o
They have made a note to try to get the Z.

It is not unlimited miles but I'm working most of the days which will make it mainly evening blasts.
There is a nice Derestricted Autobahn on the way to Keil from where I am - will be giving that a go in the evening :evil:

I will report back and try to get a good picture for the photo comp.
 
Well, I just collected it from Hamburg.
I assume it is the iDrive 25 as it isn't that fast and has no badges.
It is a little damp so I only got it to 142 mph on the way back to my hotel :D
Definatly not as sharp as my 3.0 but doesn't hang around.

More to follow.....

One more of the Car Park after I finished with it.... :evil:

The car was a bit light at 150mph to be honest - very light steering.
I was just concentrating on cars pulling out!
 
before i bought mine I tried to hire a Z4 but they wanted $400 for the day then they wouldnt give it to me because im under 25 :evil:

feelin envious of that autobahn too. fastest legal road in my country is 65mph :cry:
I wouldn't hesitate to pay for an e89 on the autobahn right now
 
Yer, it really was a good experiance (if not a little scary).
I also had a go in a S Drive 30 with the steering wheel gearchange - that was nice!

I am interested to know if anybody else has done over 140mph with the roof off... my ears were ringing for hours

lol In the UK the Ringing would have been from the old bill kicking you in the head while you was in their cells..... 140-150+ legal... Nearly worth living there!
