Hi lads

Anyone had any experience with this trade dealer in Leicester?

I'm planning to go and see a Z4C they have this weekend. Looks lovely but has been for sale for ages.

Any advice would be welcome, especially if it saves a 6 hour round trip!

Thanks

Hi,

Didn't buy my car from them but it was sold by them to the previous keeper of my car. Only had my car 2 months and put 5,000 miles on it but runs fine so far.

Doesn't appear to me like they sold a 'lemon' or anything.

Maybe not the best help but thought it tied in a little.

I am sure someone here bought a car from them while back, can't remember who, but if I do remember, will let you know :P

I should be passing by them later today so will pop in and have a look if I have time.

Mate you are an absolute star if you're able to do so!

Would certainly save me a long old trip this weekend!

Just popped in to see it but didn't have time to go for a drive but it looks a good clean car. The bodywork is good, I only found one small mark on the front nearside wing although the paint on the front bumper around the nearside headlight washer looked like it may have been resprayed. Or might have been the light and the fact the car needs a clean. The wheels shows no signs of curbing but have been refurbed by spraying the rims and centres only without splitting. All tyres are OEM runflats with plenty of tread at the front, the rear nearside has about 4mm but the offside has less and will need replacing soon. The inside is good with no signs of wear and tear or leather ageing around the seats. It has both remotes plus the master and 3 service stamps (2 main dealer and 1 independent), due an MOT in a month and taxed till the end of the year.

Overall a good clean car with useful extras although standard business radio and no satnav might put off a few. If it's what you want I would get them to MOT it (checking rear springs specifically) and replace the offside rear tyre. I would think there should be some room for manoeuvre on the price depending on your haggling skills. For info although mine is manual, the spec is about the same and I paid just less than 16k last Dec with 32,000 on the clock.

Good luck!

Wow! Thank you VERY much indeed mate that is very kind of you. How bloody good is this forum! I owe you a pint! :D

I hope you don't mind me asking but I wondered how fastidious you are with cars? I am terribly and detail and perfection are somewhat important to me. Obviously I know this isn't a brand new car but I'd be interested to know what 'good' looks like to you. It sounds like a sounds and solid car - but also from what I've read it also doesn't sound like it bowled you over with its condition either. I guess I need to see it myself really but any other thoughts you have would be gratefully received.

Thanks again for your help - this is forum member stuff at its finest!

Yeah, it didn't bowl me over only because I guess having a Coupe already I don't have that excitement and buzz that you have when you're looking at a Coupe for the first time. 8)

I was also only really looking for any faults and not looking to buy so it maybe came out more negative than the car deserves. Having said that though it is a great looking car in excellent condition and if I was in the market for one I would certainly make an offer. Go see it for yourself and you won't be disappointed.

Hi mate! Thank you yet again for all your feedback and help its very much appreciated. In any event I am sold on a Z4 Coupe now - albeit not having actually driven one yet!

I plan to see this and another one this weekend so I will let you and the forum know how I get on in my quest!

Thanks again,
